BUTUAN CITY – Another leader of the New People's Army (NPA) fell into the hands of authorities, the Police Regional Office-Caraga (PRO-13) announced on Sunday.

Brig. Gen. Romeo Caramat Jr., PRO-13 chief, said Rudolfo Dolera, 42, of the Guerrilla Front 21, North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee and a resident of Barangay Los Angeles, Butuan City was arrested in Barangay Padiay, Sibagat, Agusan del Sur on Friday.

Dolera, the No. 3 most wanted in Agusan del Sur and a priority NPA target, has a standing arrest warrant for frustrated murder issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 2 in Butuan.

The suspect is among the suspects in an encounter in July last year in Purok 7, Barangay Los Angeles where one cop was wounded.

Caramat commended operatives from the 1st Agusan del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company, Sibagat Municipal Police Station, and Butuan City Police Station 4 for the arrest.

"By creating chaos, you will only reap the justice of the law,” Caramat said as he assured the residents in the region of PRO-13’s continued campaign to arrest lawless elements. (PNA)
