5K cops in Central Luzon deployed for ‘Undas’

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Around 5,000 police personnel have been deployed in cemeteries and transport terminals in Central Luzon to ensure the safety and security of the public in the observance of the All Saints' and All Souls' Days on Nov. 1 and Nov. 2, respectively.

Brig. General Cesar R. Pasiwen, regional director for the Police Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO-3), said on Saturday the police personnel in the region would provide maximum security coverage and public safety service.

Pasiwen said motorist assistance centers with road safety marshals in major thoroughfares and secondary roads in the region were also established to ensure zero crime incidence during the observance of Undas 2022.

He directed all city and provincial directors in the region to continuously conduct police-focused operations and to sustain the level of alertness and vigilance as well as to ensure maximum police presence in all places of convergence, including churches.

Pasiwen said the entire Philippine National Police is on full alert from Oct. 29 to Nov. 4, 2022.

“We advise the public not to hesitate to report any incident to the police in your nearest police station or thru PNP hotline number 0998-598-5330/0917-623-5700,” he said in a statement. (PNA)
