MANILA – A lone bettor from Rizal province became an instant millionaire after guessing the right six-digit combination of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw on Friday night.

In an advisory on Saturday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the lotto patron from Taytay, Rizal got the winning combination of 16-13-02-19-11-07, with a total prize money of PHP21,436,089.60.

The bettor can claim the prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City by presenting the winning ticket and two identification cards.

As provided in the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 shall be subject to a 20 percent tax.

Meanwhile, 55 others won PHP32,000 each for guessing five out of the six winning digits, while 2,678 will get PHP1,000 each for four correct digits, and 34,828 will settle for PHP30 each for three correct digits.

The 6/45 Mega Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Prizes not claimed within a year shall be forfeited.

The PCSO is urging the public to patronize its games to generate more funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities.

Through its mandatory contributions, the PCSO not only helps individuals in need of medical assistance but also provides funds to government institutions. (PNA)
