MANILA – Overcast skies and scattered rains will prevail over most of the country on Saturday brought by the shear line in Extreme Northern Luzon and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) in the rest of the country.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecast cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands due to the shear line.

On the other hand, the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Aurora, Quezon, the Camarines provinces, the southern portion of Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought by the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.

Winds in northern Luzon will be moderate to strong and headed northeast, with moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds headed northeast to east, with slight to moderate coastal water conditions.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 24°C to 32°C; Baguio City, 16°C to 25°C; Legazpi City, 26°C to 31°C; Laoag City, 23°C to 31°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 31°C; and Metro Davao, 26°C to 33°C. (PNA)
