Ateneo, NU spikers eye 4th wins in V-League men’s tourney

MANILA – Ateneo de Manila University and National University will try to sustain their winning forms in the men's division of the V-League Collegiate Challenge at Paco Arena, Manila on Sunday.

The Eagles will take on the Perpetual Help Altas at 1 p.m. while the Bulldogs will face the Adamson Falcons (1-1) at 3 p.m., both gunning for their fourth wins.

Other games pit De La Salle against University of Santo Tomas at 10 a.m. and San Beda University (1-2) against San Sebastian (0-2) at 5 p.m.

The La Salle Green Spikers are coming off an 18-25, 20-25, 28-26, 25-23, 8-15 loss to the St. Benilde Blazers on Friday.

Meanwhile, University of the Philippines hacked out a 20-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-17 victory over Far Eastern University on Saturday to earn the first semifinal berth in the women's division

Ateneo snared the second Final Four slot after a 25-13, 20-25, 25-18, 25-22 victory over San Beda. (PNA)
