Muntinlupa City Judo Club rules Munting Judoka Cup 2022

MANILA – Muntinlupa City Judo Club captured 12 gold, 10 silver, and 16 bronze medals in the Munting Judoka Cup 2022 held at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex in Tunasan, Muntinlupa City on November 12 and 13.

The gold medalists were Erin Unice Nacida (girls 7-9 years old -29 kg.), Mia Jayde Cate (girls Cadets 10-12 years old -32 kg.), Darline Bella Nacida (girls Cadets 10-12 years old -36 kg.), David Estrellado (boys 7 years old -19 kg.), Jonas Estrellado (boys 8-9 years old -25 kg.), Samiro Vidor (boys 8-9 years old +35 kg.), Isaiah Xavier Miguel (boys Cadets 10-12 years old -46 kg.), Julian Vallen de Castro (boys Cadets 13-15 years old -64 kg.), Kyle Danielle Honrada (women's All White -70 kg.), Samantha Vidor (women's Open Belt -48 kg.), Juan Miguel Evangelista (men's Open Belt -55 kg.) and Antonio Miguel Ramos (men's Open Belt +100 kg.).

The Antipolo Judo Club ranked second in the medals tally board with eight golds, five silvers, and 10 bronzes followed by Baguio City Judo Club (7-7-5), Fearless Judo Club (7-4-5), YMCA Baguio (4-2-1), Navotas Judo Cub (4-3-8), Naic Cavite Judo Club (2-1-1), Muntinlupa National High School Judo Team (2-5-6), CCDC Benguet (2-3-9), Ippon KMA Makati (1-0-3), Calamba City (1-0-2), Springville Judo School (0-1-1), Cainta Stanley Judo Club (0-2-5), Bagsak Judo Club (0-2-2) and Animo Judo Team (0-2-3).

The champions from Antipolo City Judo Club were Maecy Aerith Binondo (girls Cadets 10-12 years old +36 kg.), Crixus Zachary Bruno (boys 7 years old -25 kg.), Chester Raine Caminong (boys Cadets 13-15 years old -55 kg.), Maglev Aeron Binondo (boys Cadets 13-15 years old -73 kg.), Princess de Martin (women's All White -57 kg.), Rupert Fernandez (men's All White -55 kg.), and John Paulo Almeyda (men's All White -66 kg. and Open Belt -66 kg.).

Fearless Judo Club topped the women's All White -52 kg. (Sam Cordero), men's All White -73 kg. (Maxwell Francisco), -100 kg. (Laurence Sy) and +100 kg. (Alex Rivera), men's Open Belt -73 kg. (Robert Maala) and men's team.

Baguio City Judo Club, on the hand, dominated the girls Cadets 13-15 years old -57 kg. (Natalie Gaspar), boys Cadets 10-12 years old -42 kg. (Jan Samuel Diño), boys Cadets 10-12 years old +46 kg. (Mark David Calingayon), boys Cadets 13-15 years old +73 kg. (Juan Gael Alberto), women's Open Belt -52 kg. (Skyler Martin), men's Open Belt -60 kg. (Jammil Bien Lorenzo) and women's team.

The other gold medal winners were Ippon KMA Makati's Scarlette Johan Mamaed (girls 7-9 years old -22 kg.); Calamba City's Alexandra Nicole Salvedia (girls 7-9 years old +29 kg.); Navotas Judo Club's Princess Rhiana Cruz (girls Cadets 13-15 years old -45 kg.), Alleya Jarito (women's All White -45 kg.), Harvey Mejia (women's All White -48 kg.) and Rob Alexander Palomo (men's All White -81 kg.); Naic Cavite Judo Club's Catherine Medel (girls Cadets 13-15 years old +57 kg.) and David Luzcio (boys 8-9 years old -35 kg.); YMCA Baguio's Zhaijan Corpuz (boys Cadets 13-15 years old -42 kg.), Samuel Tuvera (men's All White -60 kg.), Mario Moore (men's Open Belt -81 kg.) and Andro Cudao (men's Open Belt -90 kg.); Animo Judo Team's Brycen Nikos Natividad (boys Cadets 13-15 years old +73 kg.); Muntinlupa National High School Judo Team's Drew Soriano (women's All White -63 kg. and Open Belt -63 kg.); and CCDC Benguet's Jayzer Balaybay (men's All White -90 kg.) and Rhona Serafino (women's Open Belt -57 kg.).

The Munting Judoka Cup 2022, organized in celebration of Muntinlupa City Judo Club's 30th founding anniversary, was sanctioned by the Pinoy Judo Association, Inc. and supported by the Kurash Sports Federation Philippines, Inc. and various judo clubs in the country. (PNA)
