Active Covid-19 cases in Butuan down to 16

BUTUAN CITY – The number of active coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases here dipped to 16 after only 10 new infections were recorded from Nov. 12 to 18, data from the City Health Office (CHO) showed Monday.

The weekly CHO data indicated that the new infections also brought the cumulative total number of Covid-19 cases to 15,277.

Eleven recoveries were also logged last week, bringing the total Covid-19 recoveries to 14,710.

The number of deaths related to Covid-19 remained at 557.

“The city government, under the leadership of Mayor Ronnie Vicente Lagnada, is reminding all residents to follow the minimum health protocols for protection against Covid-19 infection,” the City Information Office (CIO) said in a statement Monday.

It also urged residents to avail of free Covid-19 vaccines at various vaccination sites in the city.

 The CIO said vaccination continues to roll out in different barangays through medical outreach programs.

Last week, two medical missions were conducted in Barangays Bancasi and Kinamlutan where Covid-19 vaccinations are among the health services offered to constituents. (PNA)
