Caraga’s Covid-19 vax rate increases to 91%

BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Health in the Caraga Region (DOH-13) reported Monday that vaccination rate in the area has increased to 91 percent amid the measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

“As of Nov. 19, a total of 1,754,749 individuals in the region are considered fully-vaccinated against Covid-19,” DOH-13 said in a statement.

The agency said the increase in vaccination is higher than the 80 percent target among the general population.

Those who availed of vaccine booster shots also increased to 386,152 as compared to 381,775 in the previous week.

The DOH-13 also reiterated its call to residents to avail of the free vaccination program of the government for protection against the virus.

Around 3,858,746 Covid-19 vaccines were so far administered in the region, the agency said. (PNA)
