LEGAZPI CITY – Authorities have arrested one of the most wanted persons of Siruma, Camarines Sur in Pasig City, the regional police said Friday.

The suspect was identified as Darnel Dazal alias Darwin of Barangay Santolan, Pasig City.

Lt. Col. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Police Regional Office (PRO) 5 (Bicol) spokesperson, said the suspect was nabbed for murder under a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 63 in Calabanga, Camarines Sur on Feb. 5, 2004, with no bail recommended.

Calubaquib said Dazal is listed as the sixth most wanted person in Siruma.

"He was arrested on Thursday by joint personnel of Siruma municipal police station, Marikina City Police Station, and 2nd Mobile Force Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion of National Capital Region Police Office," she said in a statement.

The suspect underwent booking and documentation at the Pasig City Police Station before he was turned over to the Siruma Municipal Police.

Calubaquib said the PRO-5, in coordination with the police from other regions, aims to arrest individuals who have been eluding arrest for years.

"The Philippine National Police - Bicol shall not stop until all wanted persons are accounted for and justice is served to the victims," she said. (PNA)
