MANILA – Some areas in the country will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the weather bureau said Wednesday.

The Caraga and Davao regions and the Leyte provinces may experience flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of the country will have fair weather with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms, said forecaster Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

He added that no low-pressure area was seen to affect the country.

While no weather disturbance is expected to develop until the weekend, PAGASA is expecting one to two tropical cyclones in December, he said.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over Extreme Northern Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
