MANILA – Generally fair weather will continue to prevail over most parts of the country Tuesday, the weather bureau said.

Cagayan will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the shear line.

Flash floods or landslides are possible due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Batanes will have isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

"The rest of the country will experience generally fair weather with isolated rain showers," PAGASA forecaster Obet Badrina said.

He added that no low pressure area was seen to develop or affect the country.

Meanwhile, strong winds and rough seas will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon.

Rough to very rough seas are forecast over the seaboards of Batanes, the northern coast of Cagayan including Babuyan Islands and Ilocos Norte.

PAGASA advised fishing boats and other small sea vessels not to venture into the sea and larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
