MANILA – Cloudy skies with scattered rains are forecast over most of the country on Saturday brought by a low-pressure area (LPA) and the shear line affecting northern Luzon.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was estimated at 215 km. east of Juban, Sorsogon.
It will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Bicol region, and the Visayas.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought by the shear line will prevail over Cagayan Valley.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line and localized thunderstorms.
Winds in Luzon will be moderate to strong and headed north to northwest, with rough coastal water conditions.
In the Visayas, winds will be light to moderate headed northwest to west, with slight to moderate seas.
Mindanao will have similar wind speeds but headed west to southwest, with similar coastal water conditions.
The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 25°C to 29°C; Laoag City, 26°C to 30°C; Lipa City, 24°C to 29°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 29°C; and Metro Davao, 24°C to 31°C. (PNA)
