Community multimedia summit 2023 set in Aklan on Jan. 10-12

MANILA – Journalists all over the country will converge in January next year in Aklan province for a nationwide multimedia summit.

Considered to be the biggest convergence of the members of the community journalists and social media groups, the summit which will take place from January 10 to 12, will tackle issues confronting the media while reporting about food security, climate change, tourism, social media education and other concerns affecting national interest.

Acting as convenors of the three-day media gathering are the Provincial Multimedia Press Corps, PH, Inc., in cooperation with the Publishers Association of the Philippines (PAPI), the Philippine On-Line Broadcasters Association (POBA) and Aklan Press Clubs, Inc. (APCI).

Veteran journalist and former publisher of Philippine Graphic, Juan “Johnny” Dayang leads the team of community journalists in promoting the upcoming activity which is expected to be joined also by press freedom advocates, public information officers, bloggers and school journalists.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos,Jr. and other prominent personalities have been invited to the occasion.
