ANKARA – Dallas Mavericks' Slovenian superstar Luka Doncic displayed a tremendous effort in a Tuesday NBA game that his team won, tallying 60 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists.

The Mavericks beat the New York Knicks 126-121 in overtime at Dallas' American Airlines Center where Doncic was on fire with a historic triple-double, as well as scoring the game-tying shot near the end of the fourth quarter.

Mavs, Doncic had a huge comeback against the Knicks, down by nine points with 30 seconds to go, and managed to carry the game to overtime and win, 126-121.

After a loose ball, Doncic, the player of the game, tied the clash in the final seconds of the fourth quarter 115-115 and took the match to overtime.

The 23-year-old guard made the first 60-point, 20-rebound triple-double in NBA, the league has confirmed.

Doncic surpassed Dallas legend Dirk Nowitzki, scoring 60 points in a single game, to put out the franchise's scoring record in a single game.

Nowitzki scored 53 points in a 2004 game against the Houston Rockets, which was the franchise's previous record.

Doncic grabbed 21 rebounds in a Tuesday game, which is his career high in rebounds.

The former Real Madrid star also made 10 assists for Dallas to perform the 52nd triple-double of his career.

"I'm tired as hell," Doncic said first after his unique performance.

Sixth in the Western Conference standings, the Mavericks have a 19-16 win-loss record.

The best six teams in both Eastern and Western Conferences will go to the 2023 NBA Playoffs once the regular season ends on April 9.

Before the playoffs, there will be a play-in tournament on April 11-14 for the teams to be ranked 7th to 10th. (Anadolu)
