Parts of Marikina waterless between Jan. 3 to 6

MANILA -- Several parts of Marikina City will go waterless as the Manila Water Company (Manila Water) has scheduled a water interruption due to its line maintenance from Jan. 3 to 6.

In its advisory, Manila Water said the maintenance activities are part of its efforts to improve water services in the East Zone.

The affected areas are located in Barangay Marikina Heights (L Diwa, Ariane Road, G. Ordonez, Cacharel, Halston, Givenchy, Tatiana, Lauren, Gucci, G. Menez, NW Narra, Herbosa), which will be waterless from 10 p.m. of Jan. 3 to 4 a.m. of Jan. 4, specifically along Bayan-Bayanan corner Gen. Ordonez (in front of Jollibee).

Likewise, parts of Barangay Parang (BG Molina, R. Magsaysay, P. Burgos, Sumulong, F. Balagtas, Eastview Homes, NE Tanguile, Angelina Santos Compound, Kawayan Village, Lamarville, Carmelita Compound) will be waterless from 10 p.m. of Jan. 5 to 6 a.m. of Jan. 6, particularly in BG Molina near corner Paraluman.

The affected customers were advised to store enough water for the duration of the water interruption.

There will be water tankers on standby and ready to deliver water to affected areas when necessary. (PNA)
