BUTUAN CITY – As the low pressure area (LPA) continues to bring heavy rains in the Caraga Region, the Department of Social Welfare and Development in the area (DSWD-13) has prepositioned all its available relief goods for augmentation.

Since Tuesday, the DSWD-13 said it has readied 16,155 available family food packs (FFPs) and 7,389 non-food items (NFIs) in the different Caraga provinces.

“The agency’s field office in the Caraga Region also has PHP5 million available standby funds,” the DSWD-13 said in a statement.

Of the total number of FFPs, 2,123 are positioned in Surigao del Norte; 7,767 in Agusan del Norte; 4,636 in Dinagat Islands; and 1,629 in Surigao del Sur.
