MANILA – Health app KonsultaMD announced Wednesday the availability of a package tailored for persons with diabetes and those who may be at risk of this condition.
“We recognize the difficulties many people experience in finding the right tools to address their health problems. So we are helping them take the first step in achieving a healthier lifestyle,” said KonsultaMD chief executive officer Cholo Tagaysay.
The app will provide free video consultation for lab test interpretation. Home lab tests such as FBS, CBC, CREA, lipid profile, urinalysis, and HBA1C are also included in the diabetes screening package.
This, Tagaysay said, is suitable for those experiencing diabetes symptoms.
Meanwhile, the package also entitles users with a month of unlimited access to "concierge," wherein a representative will handle all the appointments and bookings of the user.
Users will have to input the code "KMDDiabetes" to talk to a representative and avail of the package.
The KonsultaMD app offers 24/7 hotline for consultation with doctors. It is among the portfolio of 917Ventures, which supports startups. (PNA)
