MANILA – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Monday announced that it received a high public satisfaction rating for its performance with an "excellent +76" net score, based on the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) Survey.

The results of the survey held in December last year raised the AFP's net satisfaction rating by nine points compared to the net of +67 in December 2021, AFP public affairs office chief Col. Jorry Baclor said in a statement.

The survey had 1,200 adult respondents who showed their awareness of the AFP, of which 80 percent expressed their satisfaction with the military’s performance.

"The AFP also maintained an excellent net confidence score of +79 in defeating the communist terrorist group and +76 against local terrorist groups," Baclor said.

It also received a net +62 score in its capability to defend the West Philippine Sea and fight foreign threats.

With the overall high level of confidence shown by the public, the AFP assures that it will remain steadfast in its commitment to protecting the country and the Filipinos. (PNA)
