MANILA – More than 70 leadership, foundation, and human resource management (HRM) courses will be offered by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), through the Civil Service Institute (CSI), in 2023 as part of its programs to enhance public service through continuous learning interventions.

In a press release, CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles said these courses include topics on various leadership and HR functions such as Leadership and Management Certification Program (CPro), Public Service Values Program (PSVP), CSI Leadership Series, Competency-based HR Program (CBHR), Learning and Development (L&D) Programs and Strategic HROD Series, among others.

He said registered participants who will successfully complete these online courses, including its requirements, will earn a certificate of completion with leadership and managerial training hours that can be used to meet the training requirement for managerial and supervisory positions in the civil service.

This is part of the regular program of the CSC to provide learning and development interventions for leaders and employees of government. It is important for our civil servants to have continuous learning, to continuously expand their knowledge and hone their competencies needed to provide excellent public service),” the CSC chair said.

He added that this year’s lineup of courses was designed to help civil servants, including managers and human resource practitioners, navigate through the changes in the bureaucracy and the challenges of public service in the post-pandemic era.

We ensured that the courses are relevant or appropriate to the needs of the times, where a lot of things have already happened, and many more modifications on workplace policies are expected due to the pandemic. We assure our public servants that their participation in the CSC trainings will be worthwhile),” Nograles said.

The CSC chief also stressed that more learning and development interventions are being offered by the CSC Regional Offices (ROs).

The CSC-CSI’s Learning and Development Plan Matrix, as well as the details about each course, can be accessed at csi.csc.gov.ph.

Meanwhile, those interested to avail of training courses offered by CSC ROs may directly inquire with the CSC RO concerned. The directory of CSC offices is available on the CSC website at www.csc.gov.ph. (PNA)
