COTABATO CITY – Police authorities in Lanao del Sur arrested three wanted persons, including an 80-year-old man, during an anti-drug operation on Sunday in Lanao del Sur’s town of Tamparan.

In a report Monday, Brig. Gen. John Guyguyon, Police Regional Office–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao director, said Bambaran Bantog Taha, 80; Malic Banto Macaundas, 33; and Basim Undong Dicretan, 52; all of Barangay Tatawayan North, yielded shabu with an estimated street value of PHP592,960.

Guyguyon said suspects also have pending arrest warrants for illegal possession of firearms.

“The suspects did not resist arrest,” he said, citing the report on the 1 a.m. operation.

Police also seized from the suspects a .38-caliber revolver, a .45-caliber pistol and ammunition. (PNA)
