LTO-Butuan collects P8.5M in revenues for January

BUTUAN CITY – The Land Transportation Office in Butuan City (LTO-Butuan) managed to collect PHP8.5 million worth of revenues last month, an official said Monday.

In an interview, LTO-Butuan chief Danielo Merson Borja said their collection slightly increased in January this year compared to the same period in 2022.

“We collected PHP8.4 million in January 2022 as we attained a 1 percent increase in revenue collections last month,” Borja said.

In terms of vehicle registration, he said the office gained a 3 percent increase in revenue collection last month compared to January last year.

“A collection of PHP6.9 million was recorded in vehicle registrations last month compared to the PHP6.7 million in the same month last year,” Borja said.

However, he said LTO-Butuan has recorded a 7 percent decrease in the license fees collection last month at PHP1.56 million compared to the PHP1.68 million revenues collected in Jan. 2022.

The decrease, he said, was caused by the malfunction of the driver’s license card engraver of the office which needs to be repaired at the LTO central office.

“The engraver was sent to the LTO central office for repair and returned to our office last Jan. 23,” Borja said.

With the engraver back in operation, he said LTO-Butuan is optimistic that revenue collection this month will further increase. increased revenue collection this month and ahead. (PNA)
