MANILA (PNA) -- Parts of Quezon City and Caloocan City will be waterless from Feb. 13 to 20 due to network maintenance, the Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) announced Friday.
In its advisory, Maynilad said the maintenance activities are part of its continuous effort to improve water services in the West Zone.
In Quezon City, the affected areas from 11 p.m. of Feb. 13 to 6 a.m. of Feb. 14 are in Barangays San Bartolome and Sauyo, particularly in Meadows 2 Avenue corner Baluyot.
Barangay Unang Sigaw, specifically in Ghana Compound and Clover Leaf; Barangays Baesa and Balong Bato, particularly in Quirino Highway corner T.S. Cruz; and Barangay Baesa, specifically in Caroline St. will also be affected from 10 p.m. of Feb. 14 to 6 a.m. of Feb. 15.
Likewise, Barangay Bahay Toro, particularly in Alley 2 corner Road 18 Extension; Barangays Paltok and Paraiso, specifically in Roosevelt corner Cooper; Barangay Balong Bato, particularly in Teachers Bliss; and Barangay Baesa, specifically in Quirino Highway corner L.R. Pascual, will be affected from 10 p.m. of Feb. 15 to 6 a.m. of Feb. 16.
Barangays 170 and Greater Lagro, particularly in Sacred Heart Pump Station will be affected from 7 p.m. of Feb. 15 to 6 a.m. of Feb. 16.
Also, from 10 p.m. of Feb. 16 to 6 a.m. of Feb. 17 the affected areas are Barangay Doña Imelda Marcos, specifically in Landargun corner Araneta; Barangay Baesa, particularly in Leeland Drive; and Barangay Balong Bato, specifically in Baesa Road corner Quirino Highway.
Likewise, Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, particularly in Pasacola; Barangay 163, specifically in Del Rey; Barangay Baesa, particularly in Jem 5 and Quirino corner Jojo will be affected from 10 p.m. of Feb. 17 to 6 a.m. of Feb. 18.
On the other hand, Barangays Maharlika and Santa Teresita, specifically in Cuenco corner Mayon; Barangay Talipapa, particularly in Kalapati corner Quirino Highway; and Barangay Baesa, specifically in Tandang Sora Extension; will be affected from 10 p.m. of Feb. 18 to 6 a.m. of Feb. 19.
Meantime, Barangays Bahay Toro, Dona Josefa Marcos and Tandang Sora, particularly in Tandang Sora corner General Avenue; Barangay Talipapa, specifically in Tandang Sora corner Quirino and Tandang Sora Bridge will be affected from 10 p.m. of Feb. 19 to 6 a.m. of Feb. 20.
In Caloocan City, Barangays 178, to 180, 182 and 183, particularly in Sacred Heart Pump Station will be affected from 7 p.m. of Feb. 15 to 6 a.m. of Feb. 16.
The affected customers are advised to store enough water for the duration of the water interruption.
Maynilad said water tankers will be on standby and ready to deliver water to affected areas when necessary. (PNA)
