MANILA – The Manila Water Company (Manila Water) on Tuesday announced that its customers in several parts of the cities of Pasig, Quezon and Mandaluyong will experience water interruption due to service improvement activities from Feb. 23 to 24.

In its advisory, Manila Water said from 10 p.m. of Feb. 23 to 4 a.m. of Feb. 24, the affected areas are parts of Barangay Pinagbuhatan in Pasig City, particularly in San Sebastian corner Sandoval Avenue for line meter and strainer declogging.

Also affected are parts of Barangays Bagong Lipunan ng Crame, specifically in 3rd Street corner South Road; and Balong Bato, particularly in H. Lozada corner N. Domingo Street, both in Quezon City for line meter replacement.

Parts of Barangay Pansol, specifically in Mangyan Road in La Vista Subdivision, also in Quezon City, will experience water interruption due to line maintenance.

On the other hand, from 11 p.m. of Feb. 23 to 5 a.m. of Feb. 24, the affected areas are parts of Barangays Hagdang Bato, San Jose, Plainview and Addition Hills in Mandaluyong City, particularly in Shaw corner Mabini and Acacia Shaw, for valve maintenance.

The company advised residents in the affected areas to store enough water during the service improvement activities.

It reminded the affected customers that once water service is restored, flushing must be conducted by letting the water flow out for a few minutes until it becomes clear. (With reports from Perfecto Raymundo Jr., PNA)
