2 most wanted persons nabbed in Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Policemen have arrested two most wanted persons, including a soldier, in separate operations in Zamboanga del Sur and this city, police officials said Saturday.

Brig. Gen. Neil Alinsañgan, Police Regional Office 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula), said the suspect, Private Mark Cifren Jay Dablo, was arrested in a warrant of arrest operation in Barangay Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur at about 5:29 p.m. on Friday.

Alinsañgan said Dablo, 26, has a standing warrant of arrest for statutory rape with no recommended bail, issued by a court in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental on Feb. 10, 2023.

Dablo is third on the list of most wanted persons in the municipality of Lopez Jaena, Misamis Occidental.

Col. Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, said the other suspect, Romel Rioles, 39, was arrested in Sitio Licopon, Bunguiao, this city at about 10:31 a.m. on Friday.

Lorenzo said Rioles has a standing warrant of arrest for five counts of rape with no recommended bail, issued by a court in this city on Feb. 17, 2023.

He said the arrested suspect is the No. 1 most wanted person in the area of operations of ZCPO’s Station 4. (PNA)
