‘Amihan’ continues to bring rains over Luzon

MANILA – Luzon, including Metro Manila, will continue to experience cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon (amihan), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau warned residents in Cagayan Valley, Aurora and Quezon against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains due to “amihan.”

Northeast monsoon will also bring cloudy skies to at times cloudy skies with rains in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon but it has “no significant impact.”

Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar and Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to shear line.

Mindanao, the rest of the Visayas and Palawan will experience partly skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said shear line and localized thunderstorms will also cause possible flash floods or landslides.

Moderate to strong winds headed northeast to north will blow over Luzon and Visayas with rough to moderate seas.

Mindanao will have light to moderate winds blowing northeast to north and will have slight to moderate coastal waters.

The temperature ranges from 20.8°C to 30.6°C. (PNA)
