5 cities, town in MM waterless March 8-10

MANILA – The Manila Water Company (Manila Water) on Tuesday announced that its customers in several parts of the cities of Makati, Quezon, Mandaluyong, Pasig and Taguig, and the municipality of Pateros in Metro Manila will experience water interruption due to service improvement activities from March 8 to 10.

In Makati City, the affected areas from 10 p.m. of March 8 to 3 a.m. of March 9 are parts of Barangay Poblacion due to line meter and strainer declogging.

In Quezon City, parts of Barangays Vasra and Project 6, particularly along Visayas Avenue, which are for line meter replacement, line meter and strainer declogging, will experience water interruption from 10 p.m. of March 9 to 4 a.m. of March 10.

Manila Water said it will undertake leak repair in Barangays Valencia and Horseshoe, specifically in Broadway corner Aurora Avenue.

The affected areas in Makati City are parts of Barangay East Rembo, specifically in 19th Avenue corner C-5 Service Road for line meter replacement.

In Mandaluyong City, parts of Barangays Highway Hills, Wack-Wack and Pleasant Hills, specifically in Samat corner Shaw Boulevard and Samat corner Calbayog in Shaw Boulevard are scheduled for line meter and strainer declogging.

Also affected are parts of Barangay Dela Paz in Pasig City, part of Barangay Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City, and parts of Barangays Santo Rosario Kanluran, Santo Rosario Silangan in Pateros.

The water firm advised residents in the affected areas to store enough water to supply their needs during the service improvement activities. (with reports from Perfecto Raymundo Jr., PNA)
