BACOOR CITY, Cavite – Police operations here on Tuesday afternoon have yielded 500 grams of suspected shabu, with a street value of PHP3.4 million.

The buy-bust operation was jointly conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) team from Region 4-A (Calabarzon) and Bacoor Component Police Station, along the Town and Country Road in Barangay Molino 3.

The suspect, a high-value target, was identified as Abobakar Balaiman, 43, a resident of Taguig City.

The PDEA said the arrest was made after Balaiman sold the suspected illegal substance to one of its agents who acted as a poseur buyer.

Recovered from the suspect, in addition to the suspected shabu, were two identification cards and marked money.

The suspect was brought to the PDEA headquarters in Canlubang, Laguna province and now faces charges of violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
