CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a school building which is an additional learning facility for the students of Diniog National High School (DNHS) in Dilasag, Aurora.

The newly-completed two-story school facility with eight classrooms was under the convergence program of the DPWH and the Department of Education (DepEd).

District Engineer Roderick Andal said on Wednesday with the completion of the PHP20.3-million new school building, the DNHS now has additional classrooms complete with new blackboards, wall fans, and chairs ensuring a more conducive learning environment.

The school building also has comfort rooms, water tanks, and fire protection equipment to ensure convenience and safety for both students and teachers.

Andal cited the need to increase the number of existing classrooms in the province to address overcrowding concerns and at the same time, provide students with facilities that will help them focus on their studies.

“School officials and teachers can now ensure a safe and healthy learning environment,” Andal said in a statement.

Secretary Manuel Bonoan, meanwhile, said the DPWH, in partnership with DepEd, will remain committed to delivering school infrastructure to address the gap in basic education facilities in the country. (PNA)
