CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga –Cebu Pacific(CEB) has relaunched its international and domestic flights from Clark International Airport in a bid to strengthen connectivity for passengers from Northern and Central Luzon.

CEB restarted direct flights from its Clark hub to Bangkok, Thailand and the country’s tourist destinations Bacolod, Boracay and Davao on Friday operating the routes daily.

The relaunch of its Clark hub allows CEB to continue providing great value for its passengers, with an additional 10,000 seats per month and fares for both domestic and international flights 30 percent lower than their pre-pandemic average.

“The relaunch of our Clark flights today is a fulfillment of Cebu Pacific’s mission to help make air travel more accessible and affordable for travelers in north and central Luzon. This expansion will give the traveling public more opportunities to explore the Philippines and the rest of the world,” Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer, said during the event.

With this expansion, CEB is set to take delivery of three additional aircraft which will be based in Clark.

These are on top of the 10 new Airbus New Engine Option (NEO) aircraft that will be delivered within this year to expand the airline’s fleet.

Noel Manankil, president and chief executive officer of Luzon International Premier Airport Development (LIPAD), the private consortium that manages Clark International Airport, reiterated their support for CEB’s initiatives to grow its network and capacity from the station.

"Clark International Airport and Cebu Pacific are working closely with each other to ensure a seamless experience for travelers. Our brand-new terminal is ready to welcome Cebu Pacific passengers traveling to and from the best domestic and international destinations and serve as the window to the Philippines for visitors coming from different parts of the world,” Manankil said.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) also lauded CEB’s efforts to help spur travel to Clark and the rest of the Philippines.

“The increased connectivity from Clark will further solidify the station’s position as a premier tourism hub in Central Luzon. This initiative will also attract more investors to find business opportunities in the area which will translate to additional jobs for the locals,” DOT Undersecretary Ferdinand Jumapao said.

CebPac previously announced that it would operate a combined 15 destinations from its Clark hub.

The airline company’s inaugural flight for Clark-Iloilo is set on April 22; Clark-Hongkong and General Santos on April 26; Clark-Singapore and Macau on  April 28; Clark-Taipei on  April 29; Clark-Incheon on May 5; Clark-Cagayan on May 6; Clark-Tokyo on May 21; and Clark-Puerto Princesa on June 24.
