German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry holds confab on innovation

SOFIA, Bulgaria – The German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce is organizing a conference Wednesday on "Digitalisation, Innovation and Sustainability", the chamber said. The forum starts at 10:00 am at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Sofia.

The aim of the event is to spark a general discussion on the themes of digitalization, innovation and sustainability, which are affecting our daily lives in times of change and innovation.

Digitalization in the last decades has completely changed the way we live and work, the chamber said.

Artificial intelligence (AI), the new generation of mobile networks (5G) and electric cars are just some of the technological innovations that are transforming our daily lives.

Whether business, education or technology, innovation can contribute to sustainable development, economic growth and the general well-being of society.

According to a survey by one of the world's largest IT companies, more than half of respondents from the top 10 companies in the world said sustainability is more important to them than it was a year ago.

Business leaders face the need to embed sustainability into company strategy and goals, the release says.

Tim Kurth, President of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and Irene Plank, Ambassador of Germany, will address the conference.
