MANILA – Fair weather will prevail across the country Monday, the weather bureau said.

"The country will experience warm and humid weather due to the easterlies, with localized thunderstorms likely in the afternoon or evening," said Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Daniel James Villamil.

Localized thunderstorms will be experienced, especially in the eastern section of the country, he added.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Villamil also said that PAGASA is not expecting a low pressure area to develop or enter the country in the next few days.

Meanwhile, temperature in Tuguegarao may reach 37 C, 35 C in Metro Manila and 34 C in Laoag.

In the Visayas and Mindanao, the temperature in Zamboanga may reach up to 35 C; up to 33 C in Davao and Iloilo; while Cebu, Tacloban and Cagayan de Oro's temperature may reach 32 C.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail in the entire archipelago, PAGASA said. (PNA)
