Marcos administers oath of new SBMA head

MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday administered the oath of office of Jonathan Dioso Tan as the new chairman and administrator of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

The oath-taking ceremony was held at Malacañan Palace in Manila, based on a video uploaded by state-run Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM) on its official Facebook page.

Marcos also administered the oath-taking of Dr. Amable Aguiluz V as his special envoy to Japan for trade and investments.

Marge Gutierrez also took her oath of office before the President as undersecretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

Tan served as mayor of Pandan, Antique from 2010 to 2019.

Aguiluz is the founder and chairman of the AMA Group of Companies and served as the Special Envoy of the President to the Gulf Cooperation Council during the previous administrations.

Meanwhile, Gutierrez, a lawyer and professional ramp model, has been working in the private sector prior to her appointment as DILG's spokesperson. (PNA)
