BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 13 (Caraga) will conduct a Job Fair during the celebration of the 125th Araw ng Kalayaan on June 12.

DOLE-13 Director Joffrey Suyao told reporters that as of Friday, 3,950 vacancies have been opened to jobseekers from the region’s various provinces.

“The number of vacancies is expected to increase before Monday, Independence Day, as we are still accepting offers from employers who wish to join the jobs fair,” Suyao said.

He said 59 employers have already signified their intention to join the fair, to be held at the SM City here.

“Of the total vacancies, 3,350 are local jobs while 606 are overseas jobs,” Suyao said, calling those seeking employment to join the upcoming fair.

He said a series of payouts for the department’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program would also be facilitated to 3,316 beneficiaries during the Independence Day celebrations.

DOLE-13 will likewise release on Monday the funding for 382 beneficiaries under its Livelihood Grant program. (PNA)
