MANILA – The local government of Manila has announced that a temporary truck ban will be implemented along Padre Burgos Avenue starting Thursday.

The Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau on Wednesday said only light vehicles are allowed to cross the area.

Particularly affected are trucks coming from Roxas Boulevard and bound for Quezon Boulevard and Quiapo.

The bureau issued alternative routes for the affected trucks.

It advised truck drivers to turn right to Finance Road, cross over to Ayala Boulevard, go straight to Ayala Bridge, and turn left to Carlos Palanca to their destination point.

The Manila LGU said the move shall give way for the city's regular safety inspection. (PNA)
