CAMP SK PENDATUN, Maguindanao Norte – Anti-narcotics agents and police authorities arrested Wednesday in Marawi City three suspected drug peddlers, including a woman, and seized from them PHP6.8 million worth of shabu.

Brig. Gen. Prexy Tanggawohn, director of the Police Regional Office – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), said the trio was arrested during a buy-bust operation at about 10 a.m. in Barangay Cabingan, Marawi City.

“Seized from the suspects were a plastic bag containing 1,000 grams of “shabu,” mobile phones, and personal items,” Tanggawohn said in a report on Thursday.

The suspects are now detained at the Lanao del Sur police provincial office in Marawi City, while charges for violation of RA 9165 are being prepared against them.

Tanggawohn called on the public to help police authorities contain illegal drugs in the province. (PNA)
