MANILA – Outstanding government workers and agencies with highest number of resolved public concerns filed with the Contact Center ng Bayan (CCB) will be given recognition at the 124th celebration of the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) in September, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) said Friday.

During the Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon program aired over state-run PTV-4, CSC Commissioner Aileen Lizada said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. would lead the awarding ceremony for outstanding government workers at Malacañan Palace in Manila on Sept. 19.

“No less than the President is present to award itong mga (the) three categories: Dangal ng Bayan Award, Pagasa Award and Presidential Award to outstanding government employees, official and employees,” Lizada said.

The CSC holds the annual search for outstanding government workers to recognize civil servants with outstanding contributions and display of exemplary behaviors.

The conferment of awards aims to motivate and inspire government employees to improve the quality of their performance and instill deeper involvement in public service.

Lizada said another awarding ceremony will be held on Sept. 27 to honor the government agencies with highest number of resolved public concerns via CCB.

“Paparangalan po namin iyong mga (We will honor the) government agencies with the highest resolution rate of queries and complaints submitted through our CSC-CCB, Contact Center ng Bayan, kasi marami silang na-resolve na mga cases (because they have resolved many cases),” she said.

The CCB feedback facility serves as a multi-channel helpdesk assisting individuals requesting for information and assistance on government front-line services and procedures, reporting complaints, or giving commendations and suggestions.

The CCB is designed to make government services more accessible to the public, while assisting agencies in enhancing their public assistance programs and processes.

The resolution rate pertains to how many complaints a government agency is able to resolve in comparison to the number of complaints referred by the CCB.

For government agencies with identical resolution rates, their ranking was further determined by taking into account the total number of days it took to resolve the complaints received.

The agencies with a resolution rate of 100 percent for 2022 are the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Social Security System, Department of Foreign Affairs, Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG), Philippine Statistics Authority and Philippine National Police.

They were followed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue with 98.08 percent, Department of Education with 93.91 percent, Land Transportation Office with 92.16 percent and Land Registration Authority with 84.62 percent.

Lizada said special treats also await 1.9 million civil servants nationwide during the month-long celebration.

She said the CSC partnered with around 240 public and private institutions that would offer discounts and freebies to government employees.

Government employees may likewise avail of free rides at the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 and Light Rail Transit Line 2 on Sept. 18 to 20. (PNA)
