MANILA -- Partly cloudy to cloudy skies apart from isolated rain showers are possible in Metro Manila and rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its 24-hour forecast released Thursday afternoon, PAGASA noted that the ridge of a high-pressure area is affecting Luzon.

It also forecast slight to moderate coastal waters nationwide, expecting light to moderate winds from the southeast to southwest over Luzon, while east to southeast over the Visayas and south to southeast over Mindanao. (PNA
