MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday reported 262 new persons infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 9,485.
In its case bulletin, the DOH also reported 101 new recoveries -- the highest number so far -- and 16 new deaths.
The total number of recovered cases nationwide is now 1,315 while the death toll has climbed to 623.
Out of the 262 new cases, the DOH said 122 cases or 47 percent came from the National Capital Region; 88 cases or 33 percent came from Region 7 and the remaining 52 cases or 20 percent came from other regions. (PNA)
