MANILA – A bettor in Bulacan became an instant millionaire after guessing the six-digit winning combination of the Super Lotto 6/49 draw on Tuesday night.

In an advisory on Wednesday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the bettor picked the numbers 28-45-09-12-21-19, bagging the jackpot prize of PHP15.84 million.

The ticket was purchased in Balagtas, Bulacan.

The bettor can claim the cheque at PCSO's main office in Mandaluyong City by presenting the winning ticket and two identification cards.

As provided in the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 shall be subject to a 20-percent tax.

Meanwhile, 29 other bettors guessed five out of the six two-digit winning combinations and won PHP50,000 each, the PCSO said.

About 1,324 bettors got PHP1,200 each for getting four of the winning combinations while 21,080 bettors won PHP50 each for guessing three right combinations.

Prizes not claimed within a year shall be forfeited.

The 6/49 Super Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

The PCSO urged the public to patronize its games to generate more funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities.

Through its mandatory contributions, the agency said it does not only help individuals in need of medical assistance but also provides funds to government institutions. (PNA)
