MANILA – Police officers have arrested an actor for cybercrime charges in Laguna province.

Col. Randy Glenn Silvio, officer-in-charge of the Laguna Provincial Police Office (PPO), said Wednesday the suspect was identified as Dindo Arroyo (Conrado Manuel Ambrosio II in real life), who is known for his antagonist roles.

Arroyo was arrested in his residence in Barangay Biñan in Biñan City on Tuesday evening. He has a standing arrest warrant issued by the Santa Rosa City, Laguna Regional Trial Court Branch 101 for two counts of violation of Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 issued on Sept. 15.

The court has recommended a bail of PHP10,000 for each case.

Silvio said the actor is currently detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) facility in Biñan City while the court that issued the arrest was informed of the action taken by the police officers. (PNA)
