Weathermen hit move to discredit PAGASA

"We are deserving and qualified in our position as employees of PAGASA"(Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration), says Ramon G. Agustin (with microphone), President of Philippine Weathermen Employees Association (PWEA) of PAGASA during the PWEA-PAGASA Press Conference held at PAGASA Science Garden, Agham Road, Diliman, Quezon City on Tuesday (Feb. 14, 2017). The PWEA condemned an ongoing movement perpetrated by a group cramming to save Project NOAH ((Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards) purposely to discredit PAGASA. Project NOAH is a responsive program, launched by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), for disaster prevention and mitigation for the Philippines' warning agencies to provide a 6-hour lead-time warning to vulnerable communities against impending floods.
