Alternative livelihood

Display of indigenous forest products demonstrate the possibility for communities to engage in environment-friendly livelihood as alternative to tree-cutting which authorities aim addressing through measures like the Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) strategy for climate change and sustainable development. The products, various posters and other information materials were on display Friday (April 7) at the Shangrila Hotel in Mandaluyong City at the closing event for the National REDD+ System Philippines project which will end on April 30.
