ARTISTS OF HULMAHAN

PANDEMIC ARTISTS. At least 700 artists, many of whom have been displaced by the Covid-19 pandemic, mounted the Hulmahan Exhibit that was launched at the Estancia Mall in Pasig City on March 15, 2023, in time for the anniversary of the pandemic lockdown. The participants transformed “retrieved” shoe lasts from Marikina factories that shut down due to the pandemic into works of art. Each of the more than 1,200 artworks that are on display until May 15, 2023 can then be sold or auctioned off to raise funds for community-based programs. (PNA photo by Joan Bondoc)
