MANILA -- Basketball player and TV personality Chris Tiu said he will talk to Rain or Shine's head honchos before he makes his final decision on whether he will still play for the club or hang up his Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) jersey.

"I'll talk to our bosses, Sirs Raymond [Yu] and Terry [Que], to see what they have in mind," Tiu told reporters at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Saturday night.

The 33-year-old guard's current contract with the Elasto Painters is set to expire by the end of the year, and he has been contemplating on retiring after six seasons with them.

But in case he decides to re-sign, Tiu hinted that it may not be a long-term deal.

"Two years is a long time," Tiu said.

"I have a lot of things going on aside from basketball for the last 20 years, yet I'm still with you. I have personal commitments also. I have projects of my own. I also have some obligations with my family. My kid is growing up fast. I want to spend a lot of time with them, especially in these very important years. There are a lot of things to consider, so let's see," said Tiu, who hosts GMA's long-running science program I-Bilib.

In what could be his swan song, Tiu dropped a career-high 30 points to lead ROS to a 107-101 win over NLEX, but for him, he really intends to end the season with a bang.

"It's the last game of the season. Gusto ko, ibigay talaga ang lahat. I would like to end the season on a high note," Tiu added. (PNA)
