Recidivist in Cotabato City nabbed for shabu anew

COTABATO CITY -- Police nabbed a recently-released "drug peddler" for allegedly selling shabu to a poseur-buyer during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Rosary Heights 6 here Thursday.

Police Executive Master Sergeant Fernando Guerra, city police Station 3 deputy commander, identified the suspect as Norodin Mamaluba, of Barangay Rosary Heights 10, this city.

“Mamaluba has been imprisoned for several years at the city jail prior to his being rearrested due to the same offense,” Guerra said.

Seized from the suspect during the 1 p.m. drug buy-bust was a black belt bag containing three various sizes of suspected shabu packets with street value of PHP15,000; drug paraphernalia, a disposable lighter, and marked money.

Guerra said the suspect will be charged again for violation of R.A. 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
