Tropical depression spotted outside PAR; ITCZ to bring rains: PAGASA

MANILA -- The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Administrative Services Administration (PAGASA) said Tuesday some parts of the country will continue to experience rains due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting southern Luzon and Visayas.

In its weather bulletin, the state weather bureau also said a tropical depression was last observed at 2,145 kilometers east of Mindanao outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) packing maximum winds of 45 kph with gustiness of 60 kph moving northwest at 15 kph.

Due to the ITCZ, Mindanao, Western Visayas and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon.

Coastal waters in the Visayas, Mindanao, the rest of Luzon and Palawan province will be moderate moderate to rough. (Lily Ramos/PNA)
