DAVAO CITY – With good results in tracking down wanted persons, the Davao City Police Office’s (DCPO) anti-criminality campaign, dubbed as “Oplan Bulabog”, will be replicated in provinces comprising Davao Region, according to city police spokesperson Sr. Insp. Maria Teresita Gaspan.

Oplan Bulabog is an anti-criminality and anti-terroism campaign of DCPO where operatives conduct profiling of residents in the barangays, especially those tagged as crime hotbeds.

Gaspan said the DCPO presented the campaign to the different police offices in the region on Tuesday morning during the Regional Coordinating Conference at the Public Safety and Security and Command Center.

“I-pattern nila ang atong Oplan Bulabog (They will pattern their campaign from us),” she said.

Gaspan said that all of the provincial police offices in the region would be observing the conduct of the operation in the city.

She said this campaign would help the provinces to implement their security plans as it has been seen to prevent criminality by profiling the constituents of their barangays.

“This aims to prevent any criminals to infiltrate their barangays,” Gaspan said.

On Wednesday, the police provincial offices in the region observed the conduct of Oplan Bulabog along with Regional Public Safety Battalion 11(RPSB 11), Philippine Coast Guard 11(PCG 11), Regional Intelligence Unit 11 (RIU 11), National Bureau of Investigation 11 (NBI 11), CIDG 11 and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency 11 (NICA 11).

The Deputy Provincial Directors for Operations of Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office (DNPPO), Compostela Valley PPO , Davao Oriental PPO, Davao del Sur PPO and Davao Occidental PPO and their respective operations officers and selective chiefs observed the conduct of operation in different areas of the city.

Oplan Bulabog was conducted in Lower Madapo, Barangay 8-A, Arroyo Compound in Matina Crossing, KM 12, Sasa in Bolinao Site), Muslim Village in Barangay Ilang, Alegre, Manggahan, Toril), and Deca Homes, Tacunan.

The series of operations resulted to the arrest of three wanted persons identified as Renato Zamoras Cabariana Jr., for Violation of Comelec Resolution Nr 10015, Joel Ragmac Jamora for Less Serious Physical Injury, and Jenelyn Arevalo Quibol for Simple Slander.

There were 974 people rounded up during the Oplan Bulabog. Gaspan said 809 of them have IDs while 165 have without identification. (Armando Fenequito Jr/PNA)
