DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – A new “KKK: Kapihan at Kamustahan ng mga Kabitenyo 2017,” or forum discussions among 700 students and leaders from colleges and universities in Cavite, will converge on Sunday (Dec. 3) at the Ugnayang La Salle of the De La Salle University (DLSU) campus here.

DLSU D Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) is hosting the provincial summit as part of its continued commitment in providing the necessary experience, understanding and awareness about the actual certified public accountants (CPA) role and real work situation for accountancy students.

JPIA has partnered with the university’s Accounting Enrichment Society (AcES) and the Cavite Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (CaJPIA) to impart to future accountants the various opportunities and possibilities in their chosen field.

JPIA organizers on Monday said that the summit, themed "Filipino Accountants Changing, Adapting, Evolving,” provides wide-ranging discussions in the field of accountancy with various business sectors.

Resource speakers include Dr. Arnel Uy of DLSU Manila and Larry Monzon from the Provincial Government of Cavite to share insights and experience in the accounting profession.

Uy and Monzon will also present ‘real world’ experiences in the accounting practice to equip future accountants on their know-how, career tips and professional guidance.

The event is a follow-through of their earlier gathering on “Towards Brighter Horizons: Accounting Conference 2017” last January this year with partner organizers DLSU-D AcES, CaJPIA, and PICPA which gathered some 1,000 students from Cavite, National Capital Region and Region IV-A. (PNA)
