CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela -- The local chief executive here has expressed her desire to develop as additional tourist destination the Abuan River to lure more visitors to the city.

City Mayor Evelyn Diaz said the Abuan River is a potential tourist destination considering its pristine waters which could be utilized for boating, picnic and water sports activities.

The Abuan River is located at the eastern part of the city and its water comes from the Sierra Madre Mountains.

Diaz expressed her interest in developing the Abuan River as a tourist spot during her State of the City Address at the city's community center on Monday.
