MANILA -- Several flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) were cancelled due to bad weather brought by Tropical Storm "Urduja".
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said in an advisory that the following flights were suspended as of 10 a.m. Friday:
2P (PAL Express) 2981/2982 Manila–Tacloban–Manila
M8 (Skyjet) 421/422 Manila–Siargao–Manila
State weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its latest weather bulletin that ‘Urduga’ has slightly intensified as it continues to move slowly off the eastern coast of Samar island.
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TCWS) No. 2 has been raised raised over the provinces of Northern Samar, Eastern Samar and Biliran.
TCWS No. 1 is hoisted over Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Romblon, Masbate including Burias and Ticao Islands, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Northern Cebu including Bantayan Island, Northern Bohol, Capiz, Aklan, Northern Iloilo and Dinagat Islands. (PNA)
